My Sip Coach helps people discover and save drink recipes. This policy explains what information the service uses and the choices you have.

Information we use

Account details: your Community username and, if you create an account by email or use Google sign-in, your email address and a Google account identifier. My Sip Coach does not receive your Google password.
Your My Sip Coach data: drink-making choices, saved recipes and favorites, profile display name, bio, drink interests, profile photo, community posts and photos, comments, likes, reports, message requests, and direct messages you submit.
Device storage and session data: My Sip Coach saves preferences and drink progress in your browser storage. A session cookie keeps you signed in; choosing “keep me signed in” makes it persistent for up to 30 days. Without that choice, the cookie ends with your browser session.
Service operation: our hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, and request time to deliver and protect the service. My Sip Coach uses a daily, hashed IP-derived value to limit unauthenticated help requests.

How we use information

We use account details to create and secure accounts, and use your saved choices to provide My Sip Coach features across devices when you are signed in. Community information you publish may be visible to other visitors. If you choose the anonymous mixer option, your community profile name and photo are hidden on your feed post; the drink details you post remain visible. Direct messages are shown to the participants in that conversation.

If you ask My Sip Coach Help a question, your question, recent chat context, selected drink details, and relevant recipe information may be sent to Groq to generate a reply. If you scan a product barcode, the barcode may be sent to Open Food Facts to look up product information. If you choose Find items near me and allow location access, your browser provides your location to create a Google Maps search link; My Sip Coach does not store your location. Google processes sign-in when you choose Google login. Cloudflare provides hosting and database services for the site.

My Sip Coach requests location only when you choose Find items near me and grant browser permission. That feature opens Google Maps with a search for the recipe ingredients near you; live store prices and pickup availability are not connected. My Sip Coach does not store your location. The site does not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

We share information with the service providers listed above only as needed to operate the features you use. Community posts, comments, profile information, and photos may be visible publicly according to your profile and anonymous-post settings. Do not post anything you want to keep private.

Retention and your choices

Your account and associated saved information remain stored while your account is active. You can change or remove profile details and community content in the app where those controls are available. My Sip Coach does not yet have a self-service account deletion button. To request account and personal-data deletion, email mysipcoach@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will verify the request and delete the account information we control, subject to records that must be retained for security or legal reasons.

You can clear browser storage or cookies in your browser settings; this may remove local drink progress or sign you out. Clearing browser data does not delete information already saved to your account.

Children and age

My Sip Coach is intended for adults who are legally allowed to access alcohol-related content where they live. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
